Ultrasonic Sensor is a transducer that utilizes ultrasonic waves to measure distance, moreover, it is a non-contact distance measurement module that works at 40 kHz and can measure from 3 cm to 350 cm with an accuracy of up to 2 mm. This is a perfect Ultrasonic Sensor Module as a proximity sensor, and ultrasonic detector, for distance measurement, and smart car systems.
This Ultrasonic Sensor has an ultrasonic transmitter and an ultrasonic receiver so you can consider it as an ultrasonic transceiver. Ultrasonic Sensor has 4 pins with their functions as shown in the figure above. When the 40 kHz ultrasonic wave generated by the transmitter encounters the object, the sound wave will be emitted back, and the receiver can receive the reflected ultrasonic wave. It is only necessary to calculate the time from the transmission to the reception, and then multiply the speed of the sound in the air (340 m/s) to calculate the distance from the sensor to the object.

This is a High-accuracy good quality IR sensor from Waveshare. Infrared Obstacle Avoidance IR Sensor Module (Active Low) has a pair of infrared transmitting and receiving tubes. When the transmitted light waves are reflected back, the reflected IR waves will be received by the receiver tube. The onboard LM393 voltage comparator circuitry does the processing and the green indicator LED comes to life. The module features a 4 wire interface with Vcc, GND, DOUT, and an AOUT pin on its tail. It works fine with 3.3 to 5V levels. Upon hindrance/reflectance, the output pin gives out a digital signal (a low-level signal). The onboard preset helps to fine-tune the range of operation, the effective distance range is 2cm to 30cm.
